Are all hospitals complying with the new Price Transparency Rule?
February 11, 2021

Considering the events that occurred in the last year it is predicted that healthcare will be the most driven industry in 2021.

2020 has already transformed all manuals to digital and needless to say technology and healthcare are interlinked. There are a few things that we can predict for 2021 but at the end of the day, these are just glimmers of hopes within us.

For some reason, this year has been so traumatizing in terms of health that healthcare naturally seems to be all about the coronavirus. So, let’s start with something we all expect to happen this year. (Or we at least we hope it does)

The COVID-19 vaccine will optimistically be widely available across the world. 2021 is predicted to contribute to a little normality in our lives, even though there have been whispers about the accessibility of the vaccination nevertheless it is still a question globally.

Keeping the facts that COVID-19 has started taking a different shape in the UK, we can just hope that the magic of all cures can be invented. If I were in the shoes of the vaccine manufacturers I would under promise and over deliver, thus we can predict that this horror will soon be over.

Virtual assistance is going to be much more common. If 2020 has taught us anything, it is doing things from within the four walls of our home. The availability of online doctors has been quite vast and people find this quite convenient, as consistent checkups can be stressful but it’s much easier with online appointments.

Inner self care is important, the quarantine period has been very tortuous for most of us. There will be many more mental health patients, compared to any other year in history. People will likely visit the medical institutions more so for the reason of mental health issues. Companion robots have been introduced in a lot of health institutions and it’s stated that they have been quite helpful. They can have simple conversations, and I believe there will be many more inventions in this regard.

Healthcare considering the business sector, the economy has gone down drastically all over the world, it will take a few years to get back up. Apart from that, it will be a requirement for all the companies to safeguard their employees and customers. There might also be isolation wards available in reputable firms where work from home is difficult.

Sanitization stations and screening will become a part of this year and a core requirement for any business. A lot of businesses will work remotely if essential for a few months and considering the situation, for the entire year.

Robotic healthcare might become a thing, considering the transfer of diseases and the spread of COVID-19 being so quick, there will be robots treating humans for the sickness that could be transferable, or even general conditions. This will reduce the possibility of infections.

Overall, the hope for a successful rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine is on the mind of healthcare professionals.

Another big concern in the US is the implementation of the new Price Transparency rule. Hospitals and healthcare organizations will have to comply beginning January 1, 2021. It will be interesting to see how well healthcare organizations adapt to implement this rule and how it will improve healthcare in the future.
